Discover the origins of the "Transgender Pride Flag".

The most widespread transgender flag was created in 1999 by the American transgender activist Monica Helms. It was unveiled in 2000 at the Gay Pride in Phoenix, Arizona.

This "Transgender Pride Flag" is intended to be a symbol of transgender pride, transgender diversity and transgender rights. The symmetry of the flag evokes the search for authenticity in life. Whether it is fixed in one direction or the other, it will always be in the right direction for the observer.
