Loiret Coat of Arms
The Loiret Coat of Arms was created around 1950 by Robert Louis, an official heraldic designer working for the Commission des Sceaux et Armoiries de l'État. This emblem was adopted on October 10, 1964 by the Loiret General Council and the Loiret Urban Heraldic Commission.
The Loiret tri-color cockade originates from the arms of the Duchy of Orléans. Heraldic scriptures describe symbols of the Loiret flag and Coat Of Arms as being of an Azure background in which dwell three golden Fleurs-de-Lys. One of the Golden Lillies is separated from the other two by a silver-coloured stripe and silver label: all these heraldic, patriotic symbols printed on the Loiret Coat Of Arms.
