A little bit of history on the Departmental Flag of Oise and the Oise Coat of Arms

Taken from heraldic language, the Oise Coat of Arms features on one side, a golden (yellow) background showing three distinct blue stripes. The other portion of the Coat of Arms shows an azure background with interspersed golden lillies (Fleur-De-Lys): a symbolic flower of French heraldry. The entire emblem is separated by a single and large white stripe, known in heraldic language to hold silvery hues as the Oise river.
