Flags of Catalonia

The Catalan flag consists of nine horizontal alternating yellow and red stripes. It is one of the symbols of the Catalogne, a Spanish autonomous region. In France, because of its culture and the history of the department that belonged until the middle of the 17th century to the Kingdom of Spain, the Pyrenees Orientales are often referred to as North Catalonia and use this flag.
