The Poitou Flag (the one with the poitevin lion) is the most popular symbol of the Poitou-Charentes former administrative region, located on the west coast of France. Since the territorial reform of 2016, Poitou-Charentes has merged with Aquitaine and Limousin to form the new Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, which is nowadays the largest region of France.
